Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born 16 April 1997 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology student. His father was an Argentine of Scottish and English descent. Her mother's ancestry is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's previous marriage. The family is initially of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor Joy claims that her move to England was very traumatic. She was not willing to study English and hoped she could return to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend after she left Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in productions of the school. She dropped out of high school at 16 in order to concentrate on her acting career. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to be an actor. She was given a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered a job as a model.
